This Know Your Customer ("KYC") Policy outlines Neobyt's general approach towards identity verification, onboarding review, operational validation, and ecosystem participation requirements applicable to users, merchants, agents, distributors, API users, business partners, and other participants accessing or using the Services ("Users").
1. Scope
This Policy applies to onboarding, verification, and operational participation across Neobyt platforms and services, including merchant access, assisted commerce participation, financial service enablement, API integrations, and ecosystem onboarding processes.
2. Purpose
This Policy is intended to support:
- responsible onboarding practices;
- identity and business verification processes;
- fraud prevention and operational review;
- secure ecosystem participation;
- platform integrity and risk management;
- and compliance-aware operational workflows.
3. Verification Requirements
Depending on the nature of the Service, ecosystem role, transaction category, operational risk, or partner requirements, Neobyt may require Users to provide information or documentation including:
- name and contact details;
- government-issued identity information;
- PAN, GST, or business registration details;
- address information;
- banking or settlement details;
- photographs or supporting documents;
- business-related information;
- shop, office, or business establishment photographs;
- selfie photographs, video declarations, or operational confirmation recordings;
- geo-location or business activity verification details where applicable;
- or other verification information reasonably required for onboarding or operational review.
Verification requirements may vary depending on:
- platform or service category;
- merchant or partner type;
- transaction functionality;
- operational participation level;
- or applicable ecosystem requirements.
4. Verification & Operational Review
Neobyt may undertake onboarding, verification, screening, validation, or operational review processes intended to support secure and responsible ecosystem participation.
Such processes may include:
- document review;
- identity validation;
- contact verification;
- bank account verification;
- business verification;
- risk-based operational review;
- physical business establishment verification;
- selfie-based confirmation or video declarations;
- geo-location validation where applicable;
- or additional verification requests where necessary.
Neobyt officials or authorized personnel may visit a merchant's or business operator's declared business establishment or operational location for physical verification where reasonably required for onboarding, operational review, fraud prevention, ecosystem requirements, or continued service eligibility.
Neobyt may also undertake periodic re-verification, profile review, or operational validation activities where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, ecosystem requirements, or continued service eligibility.
Neobyt reserves the right to:
- request additional information or documentation;
- delay or restrict onboarding;
- suspend or limit certain Services;
- reject onboarding requests;
- or undertake operational review processes
where reasonably necessary to support platform integrity, fraud prevention, ecosystem requirements, operational risk management, or compliance-related considerations.
5. User Responsibilities
Users are expected to:
- provide accurate, complete, and updated information;
- ensure submitted documents are valid and lawful;
- cooperate with reasonable verification requests;
- avoid impersonation, misrepresentation, or misuse of identity information;
- and promptly notify Neobyt of material changes to onboarding or operational information where applicable.
Users remain responsible for activities conducted through their accounts or operational access credentials, subject to applicable law.
6. Operational Dependencies
Neobyt operates through integrations and ecosystem relationships involving banking institutions, payment service providers, regulated entities, technology providers, and third-party infrastructure operators.
Certain onboarding approvals, verification outcomes, restrictions, or operational decisions may therefore depend on external ecosystem participants and systems beyond Neobyt's direct control.
7. Operational Records
Neobyt may maintain onboarding records, verification-related information, transaction logs, support records, and operational information for periods considered reasonably necessary for:
- operational continuity;
- fraud prevention;
- dispute handling;
- security review;
- legal compliance;
- or ecosystem requirements.
8. Privacy & Data Handling
Verification-related information may be processed, stored, reviewed, or shared with authorized ecosystem participants, verification providers, regulated entities, or lawful authorities where reasonably required for onboarding, operational review, fraud prevention, security purposes, or compliance-related obligations.
Handling of personal information remains subject to Neobyt's Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
9. Policy Updates
Neobyt may update this Policy periodically to reflect operational, legal, regulatory, ecosystem, or technology-related changes.
Updated versions of this Policy will be published through the official Neobyt website or applicable platform channels.
